Bianco is a drawing app that translates your hand-written notes and drawings into personalized machine-embroidery artworks, ready to be stitched automatically on a BERNINA embroidery machine.

Create artworks on-the-go and send them to the BERNINA machine, and have them stitched onto bags, clothing, and even soft toys; perfect for customized gifts.

With the Bianco drawing app, BERNINA is closing the gap between ideation and creation, and sparking creativity with technology. Without prerequisite knowledge in sewing and embroidery, anyone can create an embroidery design and have it professionally finished on the BERNINA embroidery machine.

Bianco is named after Biancograt, the side of Piz Bernina which is the only route to reach the summit of the highest mountain in the Eastern Alps of Switzerland. It means white in Italian; a blank canvas with the potential to receive endless creativity and imagination.

Features:
• Make line drawings with an Apple Pencil or with your finger, and assign brushstrokes in the form of stitch patterns. This first version of the app provides zigzag stitch brushstrokes in different widths, as well as a standard straight stitch. (please provide screenshots of these).
• When drawing with an Apple Pencil, variation in pressure and tilt of the tip are captured in the brushstrokes, and reflected in the orientation of the embroidered stitches, perfect for calligraphers and artists who seek greater degree of control.
• Choose from BERNINA’s library of thread colours and assign them to different parts of your design.
• Lines and shapes can be shifted and layered over each other, to create complex designs.
• A range of basic shapes is available for creating geometric designs.
• Text can either be hand-written or typed in the preset font.
